Kops to Discuss Green Design

November 19th, 2014

Centerbrook Associate Melissa Kops will provide an overview of the Living Building Challenge (LBC) design certification program for an AIA Connecticut presentation in New Haven on Tuesday November 18 at 4:30 p.m. The built environment's most rigorous performance standard, LBC requires projects to meet a series of ambitious performance goals over a minimum of twelve months of continuous occupancy. Visit the AIA CT website for more information and to register.

Kops will also discuss the same topic at New Haven Green Drinks on Wednesday evening November 19. Contact NewHavenGreenDrinks@gmail.com for full details.

Kops is a LEED AP accredited and a Living Future Accredited Professional as well as LBC Ambassador. She earned her Masters of Architecture Degree from Rhode Island School of Design and has worked on a number of sustainable projects, including the Center for Innovation at the South Kent School and a co-housing development, both in Connecticut. She recently wrote about LBC in the Millrace, the Centerbrook blog.
