Simon Returns to Museum Trustees Forum

Centerbrook Architects & Planners Principal Mark Simon, FAIA will be among the presenters at the Museum Trustee Association Fall 2018 Forum in Hartford on Oct. 26.

Simon will speak on the lessons learned from Centerbrook’s latest projects for the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He will be joined in the presentation by David K. Skelly, director of the Peabody Museum.

Simon and Skelly also collaborated for a presentation at last year’s MTA Fall Forum in Philadelphia. In that session they addressed the master planning process. Simon and Skelly will now advance that topic with this year’s presentation titled, “Getting Directions: Lessons Learned transforming Master Planning into Building Design.”

Recently announced, Centerbrook is currently designing a comprehensive renovation and expansion of the famed Yale Peabody Museum.

The Museum Trustee Association is an organization dedicated to providing ongoing board education programs, services and resources for the special needs of museum trustees. This year’s Fall Forum includes events at both the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art and the Connecticut Historical Society.

Centerbrook’s portfolio features more than 40 museum projects, including five recent concept designs or master plans, the Yale Peabody Museum among them.
