Centerbrook Projects Featured in the Media

Published on February 4th, 2011

A handful of Centerbrook projects have been featured in various media recently, including in a New York Times article about the Ocean House resort hotel. The interior design magazine Contract featured the Ocean House in its January/February issue as did Building Design + Construction Magazine.

The sustainable Lakewood House was covered by two high profile design websites: ArchDairly.com and Inhabitat.com. Kroon Hall at Yale was featured in ArchDaily.com as well.

In a New Haven Register review of the recently opened Bellarmine Museum of Art at Fairfield University, Arts Editor Donna Doherty wrote, “Any artist would be thrilled to have his or her works shown in this elegant space … They did it with an eye toward creating a premier display area in what was a utilitarian cellar — without compromising the historic lines of the 44-room mansion.”

An essay on clean energy at Centerbrook’s offices by partner Chad Floyd, FAIA, was published by JetsonGreen.com. ArchNewsNow.com ran another essay by a Centerbrook partner, Jim Childress, FAIA, on “The 10 Commandments of Architecture,” which was picked up by other online sites. Partner Jeff Riley, FAIA, and one of his architectural drawings were featured in a Huffington Post article on the art of hand sketching.
