Lecture Series Kicks Off 7th Season

Published on October 13th, 2014

Centerbrook Architects Lecture Series, one of many programs regularly offered by the Essex Library, begins its seventh season on Friday Oct. 17 at the Essex Town Hall. The series is a collaboration between Centerbrook and the Essex Library, and with as many as 200 attendees it has outgrown the available space at the library.

Centerbrook Chad Floyd will give the first 2014-2015 illustrated presentation. In his talk, “In Search of the Particular,” Floyd explains, as well as shows how his firm conjures the particular over the universal in an attempt to regain a vanishing American sense of place.

Topics over the years have run the gamut from modern skyscrapers to Palladian villas, from landscape design to the role of color in architecture.

Please call the library at (860) 767-1560 to register. The lectures are free and run monthly through the spring.
