This addition to the university's student center is located within the residential district of the campus. The addition takes on the status of a neighborhood pub. Large windows open onto a busy pedestrian street that links the residence halls and collects students headed toward the academic quadrangle. Wide plaza steps provide places to sit at the edge of the street.

The existing structure houses a renovated bar and food emporium. The addition steps down the hill toward the street, creating several levels of varying size. In the "pavilion," used regularly for dancing, a D.J. balcony perches above the entry doors. Large bronze lanterns, traditional in appearance, house a full array of nightclub lighting effects, including spotlights trained on the whirring blades of four ceiling fans, each mirrored to reflect sparkling light onto the ceiling.
