Jack Murphy
Jack Murphy brings technical rigor, environmental commitment, and hands-on creativity to his role as Centerbrook’s Digital Design Coordinator.
Jack earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where he met his fiancé, Alex. He began his career at DSK Architects, working on institutional, community, and residential projects. He then joined Fennick McCredie Architecture in Boston, contributing to transportation and civic projects, including the renovation of airports and commuter rail stations.
Jack is passionate about environmentally responsible design and is a certified Passive House Consultant and Living Future Accredited professional. He was drawn to Centerbrook because of our commitment to environmental stewardship and the strategies we use to make our 19th-century mill complex an exemplar of sustainable adaptive reuse.
Raised in Durham, Jack, a fraternal twin, returned to Connecticut after eight years in Boston, happily trading long commutes for trees and water. He and Alex purchased a 1920s Colonial in Meriden, with plenty of projects to satisfy his hands-on proclivities. A woodworker since childhood, Jack also fabricates furniture, lighting fixtures, and everyday objects. When not in the shop, he fishes for tuna off Long Island and tinkers with German and American classic cars.
