Junior Interior Designer

We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to provide direct support to our Senior Interior Designer and Interiors department. This role will assist with interior design projects from concept through documentation, take ownership of the day-to-day organization and management of the Interiors Materials Library, and provide support to our Product Resources Librarian as needed.

We are looking for someone who is organized, resourceful, proactive, and interested in both the creative and technical sides of interior design. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage ongoing responsibilities independently, anticipate needs, and identify and prioritize tasks without requiring daily direction. This position may be full-time or part-time depending on the candidate’s experience and availability.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day design and project support to the Senior Interior Designer
• Assist with sourcing furniture, fixtures, equipment, materials, finishes, and accessories based on project design direction
• Research products and manufacturers and gather pricing, lead times, specifications, and other project information
• Assist with furniture plans, finish plans, schedules, specifications, and other interior documentation in Revit
• Assist with updating, editing, and maintaining client presentations, finish palettes, furniture presentations, product imagery, and other design materials in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop based on established design direction
• Source, download, organize, and maintain Revit families and other digital product resources for project teams
• Manage the day-to-day organization and upkeep of the Interiors Materials Library, keeping samples, binders, catalogs, and digital resources current, organized, and easily accessible
• Help manage routine vendor correspondence and coordinate with manufacturer representatives regarding library updates, product presentation, and continuing education opportunities for the firm
• Provide support to the Product Resources Librarian with product research, resources, and library related tasks as needed
• Maintain organized project finish, furniture, and product information, both physically and digitally
• Assist with preparation for client meetings, presentations, internal reviews, and installations
• Request and track material samples, product literature, quotes, finish options, and other information from manufacturers and vendors, and follow up with representatives and vendors for outstanding project information

Qualifications:

• Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or a related field
• Working knowledge of Revit preferred
• Proficiency or working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software a plus
• Familiarity with or interest in sustainable design practices and materials
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Resourceful and able to independently research products, materials, and technical information
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion
• Comfortable communicating professionally with manufacturers, vendors, and product representatives
• Strong interest in furniture, materials, textiles, finishes, and interior design
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to take ownership of assigned tasks, independently manage ongoing responsibilities and determine next steps, prioritize tasks, and follow through to completion with minimal supervision

Architectural Designer

We are seeking an Architectural Designer with at least 2 years of experience to join our team. A Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Architecture is required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with technical planning and execution of projects from inception through completion using Revit
• Prepare construction documents, develop technical solutions, and work with clients and consultants
• Participate in client meetings
• Communicate design ideas to clients with three-dimensional (3-D) computer aided design software
• Prepare diagrams illustrating spatial relationships and functional adjuncts
• Make digital design, including creating high end architectural renderings and modeling of building details and components using Revit, Adobe Photoshop, 4D Studio, and Lumion software
• Operate CAD equipment in preparing drawings and modelings

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of experience
• Full understanding of appropriate codes and actively stays updated on code changes
• Professional NAAB-accredited Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency in Revit

Two IT professionals support our technology infrastructure and provide software training and best practices. We produce all construction documents, renderings, fly-throughs, and physical models in house. Our staff have access to the latest model-making technology, including a laser cutter, a CNC router, and three 3D printers. We also maintain a fully outfitted woodworking and fabrication shop.
