New Year, New Digs

The ribbons have been cut on transformational residence life renovation projects at a pair of Connecticut colleges in time for the spring semesters to get underway.

The University of Saint Joseph celebrated the opening of a renewed McGovern Hall on Tuesday, Jan. 14. Teaming with FIP Construction, BVH Integrated Services, BakerGroup, and Illuminate, our design completely transformed the dining hall on the West Hartford campus. The servery now features seven different demonstration kitchens with multiple areas for dining that can also be portioned off for functions. The project also includes a new grab-n-go station featuring Starbucks coffee, a spirit shop, and spaces for student services. USJ DINING HALL PREVIEW VIDEO

Just one day later, and 44 miles down I-91 in New Haven, Albertus Magnus College celebrated its new student hub. The Hubert Campus Center features a large lounge, game room, spirit shop, pub, gym and dance studio, student services offices, multiple meeting and gathering spaces, and an outdoor terrace. Centerbrook also teamed with FIP Construction at Albertus Magnus, along with Kohler Ronan, Girard & Company, Langan, Cabezas-DeAngelis, Atelier Ten, and Illuminate. ALBERTUS GRAND OPENING VIDEO
