Seven Projects Garner Design Recognition
A diverse slate of Centerbrook buildings, ranging from a house on the Connecticut River to an alumni center at Duke University, were recognized for design excellence in 2022.
Centerbrook’s projects were lauded by regional, national, and international programs that acknowledge significant contributions to the built environment. They include accolades for traditional buildings that employ advanced sustainable strategies and architecture that enhances cities and campuses. Four projects – a theater, dining facility, boutique hotel, and a mixed-use urban development – received honors from Chicago Athenaeum's prestigious American Architecture Awards, which recognizes cutting-edge design from across the country.
Previous award winners also attracted praise. The Pavilion at Grace, one of only 18 projects in New England recognized by the New England Architecture Awards, and Karsh Alumni and Visitors Center at Duke University, which was included in an international shortlist of distinguished architecture.
