Shea and Hedde Join Centerbrook

CENTERBROOK, Conn. – Centerbrook is pleased to announce that Elizabeth H. Hedde and Jennifer A. Shea, Associate AIA, have joined its architectural staff. “From day one both Jennifer and Elizabeth have proven themselves capable of taking on a variety of challenging design roles, and are currently working on key projects at Centerbrook,” said Partner Jim Childress, FAIA.

Shea is a member of the design team for a new science and math building at Mary Institute and Country Day School in St. Louis, Missouri and also has contributed to Bedford Square, a mixed use project in Westport, Connecticut. Hedde is working with Childress and others on the The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine facility in Farmington, Connecticut.

Hedde earned her Masters in Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture, where she won the William G. and Virginia Field Chester Scholarship Award and was ranked second in her class. She has worked for several firms, most recently Openshop / Studio in New York City and Future Cities Lab LLC in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her experience includes residential and commercial building design, construction management, digital renderings, and 3D modeling.

Shea earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Wentworth Institute of Technology, where she won the Design Excellence Award and spent her final year studying abroad in various European cities. Among the firms she has worked for is Cambridge Seven Associates in Massachusetts. Her portfolio encompasses academic, commercial, institutional and cultural projects, as well as both physical and 3D model making. She is proficient in the latest design software, such as Revit.
