Community Commons

Located on a suburban 33-acre campus, Kingswood Oxford is a private co-educational day school serving 503 students in grades 6-12. Centerbrook is reimagining the school’s existing dining hall and library as a new Community Commons that will serve as a vibrant hub for all members of the school, blending academic learning with life skills and character education.

The repurposed spaces will feature a technologically advanced, media-rich research center and renovated dining facilities. The Commons will include a reading room with a fireplace, a flexible entertainment and presentation space, a state-of-the-art library classroom, smaller collaborative and individual study areas, and the “KO Café.” A new patio will provide an enhanced outdoor space for entertaining, dining, and student use.
