Wilder Physics Building

Centerbrook's goal for the renovation and addition to this historic 1898 building was to maintain its character while bringing the laboratories into the 21st century. Because the renovation needed to be completed while the building was occupied, Centerbrook organized an ambitious phasing process to minimize disruption due to ongoing construction.

Centerbrook designed a 21,275-square foot addition and 45,000-square foot renovation. The addition consists of three floors, creating new research laboratories, faculty offices, and mechanical storage space. Centerbrook also added two observation domes for astronomy.
