East Hampton Library and Community Center

The East Hampton Library and Community Center brings together a public library, senior center, and day care in a single civic building while allowing each to maintain its own identity. The three components step back from the street in sequence, relating to the scale of neighboring buildings while forming a unified composition.

Designed to reflect East Hampton's heritage as "Belltown," the building features a family of bell towers, chimneys, and ventilators that serve as civic landmarks. A long front porch ties the complex together, while reading rooms, gathering spaces, and children's areas create welcoming places for residents of all ages.
