Media Laboratory
Centerbrook transformed an unused 15-foot volume above the MIT Media Lab's black box theater into a new third-floor technology garden surrounded by glass-fronted faculty offices. The project created flexible workspace for research and collaboration while preserving the theater below.
The theater received a new walk-on wire mesh ceiling that simplifies the installation of lighting and sound equipment for productions.
