Centerbrook is designing a 1,500-seat Athletic Field House for Quinnipiac University on its York Hill campus in Hamden, Connecticut. It will house a 200-meter banked track along with an infill artificial turf center for intramural and student recreation use as well as practices by various sports teams, among them lacrosse, soccer, baseball, softball, rugby, field hockey, golf, as well as certain aspects of the University’s strength and conditioning program. The Fieldhouse includes racquetball and squash courts for recreational use. Included in the 140,000-square-foot building are indoor track facilities for triple jump, pole, high jump, long jump, and shot, as well as locker rooms for home and visiting teams.

York Hill, a 2,000-bed residential campus that opened in 2010, was designed by Centerbrook. The 250-acre site also is home to the Centerbrook designed TD Bank Sports Center with its twin, 3200-seat-plus arenas for Division I hockey and basketball.
