Clark Residence Hall

Centerbrook transformed Henry Bacon's 1916 residence hall into a contemporary living and learning environment while preserving its historic character. The comprehensive renovation included restoration of the brownstone exterior, complete reconstruction of the interior, new building systems, improved accessibility, and enhanced life safety throughout.

A new west entrance welcomes students and families, creating space for a lobby, lounges, study areas, kitchen, laundry, and bicycle storage. Daylit lounges and seating niches along widened corridors encourage informal gathering, while renovated student rooms and modern building systems support contemporary residential life.
